With a zoom lens, you have the option of making the projected image appear larger or smaller just by shifting the lens. Projectors that have zoom lenses of 1.20:1 (also noted as 1.2x) can produce a maximum image size that is 20% larger than the minimum size. On the other hand, projectors with lenses of 2.0:1 (or 2.0x) have a maximum image size that is double that of the minimum. This means that the higher the lenses’ zoom capability, the greater the flexibility.
